About Me
My name’s Jessica. I’m the Chief Creative at Mahan Media and a Worship Arts Pastor from Southern California. I have pretty specific ideas about who I am, what I believe, and what I think.
I believe that the most important thing you’ll ever do is build a relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe that He cares more about that relationship than He does rules. I believe that God is more concerned about your heart than He is about your race, sex, creed, sexual orientation, or sports affiliation. I believe that the sad reality is that a lot of Christians give Jesus a bad name because we do a really good job of disqualifying people from relationship with God, but that Jesus never did and never does. I believe that every single person on this planet has done something that makes us ineligible for a relationship with God, but the beautiful thing about God is that He gives grace to every single person on this planet; all we have to do is take it. I believe that the best way to live is to live preoccupied with God. I believe that I don’t have all the answers, but that it’s not important that I do.
I believe in the San Diego Padres and Chargers, regardless of their inability to have any kind of consistency or reliability in their seasons.
I believe that I have the worlds cutest dog. I believe that music is the key to unlocking hidden places in the soul. I believe that I’m grateful that my parents forced me to practice the piano, even when I cried, because the piano is balm for a wounded soul. I believe that I love The Princess Bride, MST3K, Burn Notice, Psych, and NCIS. I believe that Alton Brown is the man.
And that’s all I have to say about that.
